Am I right in thinking it is; "call sign STOPPING" ?

Yes it is.

See CAP 413 1.7.16
When a pilot abandons take-off he should, as soon as practicable, inform the tower that he
is doing so. Likewise, as soon as practicable, he should inform the tower of the reasons for
abandoning take-off if applicable, and request further manoeuvring instructions.
