How to hide an Atco...

...or are we at risk from automation?

Will a robot take your job? - BBC News

While this article seems to suggest we are safe if you are an air traffic controller - only a 7% risk of being replaced... - what's more interesting is where did 5000 uk atco's go between 2010 and 2012? And where did 4000 more suddenly appear from since then?

One of the reasons I've hardly ever bought newspapers and no longer have a TV Licence. If the meedja write this stuff about things we know about, how much of the other 99% of stuff they produce is fact?

Once again, I completely agree with you !
I always remember the media comments on the ATCA & Bristow strikes at Aberdeen, when I was there. Total cr*p.
Like you, I reflected on the fact that, if this was what they were informing people about subjects on which I was well informed, how on earth could I take anything seriously which they said about subjects on which I was less knowledgable.
Are you my long lost twin brother ?

Only if you have an unhealthy obsession withVC10s and an encyclopedic knowledge of music and anything to do with ATC.
