altimeter

if altimeter is 999 or below that value how should we read it 9- 9-9 or 0-9-9-9 or anything else thanx.

Read it any way you like but over the RT say "nine nine nine millibars (or hectopascals if they've changed it since I was trained)

If the QNH/QFE is less than 1000 the word Millibars should always be added to the end ....this is to avoid any confusion with inches...
