TC TRUCE at Swanwick

TC operational ATCO and ATSA TRUCE (Training for Unusual Circumstances and Emergencies) sessions commence in October and we are therefore, inviting pilots to attend and participate. The sessions are greatly enhanced by pilot participation and participants comment on the benefits this exchange of knowledge and experience brings. The sessions run in the afternoons 1400 – 1900 approx hours) at our Corporate and Technical Centre, Whiteley, which is approximately 2 miles from Swanwick. Subject to staff availability there will be the opportunity to visit the TC Main Ops Room at Swanwick and hopefully sit in on live sectors after the simulations have ended. Due to security constraints, we are having to restrict visits to those who fly for commercial operations.

As these are anonymous forums the origins of the contributions may be opposite to what may be apparent. In fact the press may use it, or the unscrupulous, or sciolists*, to elicit certain reactions.

*"sciolist"... Noun, archaic. "a person who pretends to be knowledgeable and well informed".
