Wx Avoidance

Today Weather on the VATON BPK BKY sector was awful. Whilst in some cases modern Wx radars cry Wolf making out it is worse than it actually is, it leaves the Pilots no option but to avoid the RED. In this case 60 miles of it. SO a big thank you to the London & Essex controllers who, were the busiest I've heard in a long time. (Freq should have been split) AS they kept us all clear of each other despite a/c having to turn even though they could not get a word in. Not once did I hear the controller refuse a heading. Also the plan kept changing as the large Cell moved around causing havoc. Very Well done guys & Girls, you earned every penny of your pay today.

Please pass this on to any ATC controllers who were on duty but do not view this site.
