Hey guys.

Didn't want to start a new thread so thought I would tack my questions onto the end of this one.

Am an area controller with over 4 years experience with radar here in Melbourne (Australia). Had about 18 months experience as tower controller with Aussie Air Force before then. So looking for possibility of an area position. From what I have been able to ferret out, it looks as though Area is only in Abu Dhabi and only for GCAA. Is that correct?

Also, Flight Global website has ad up for package which seems to pay all the allowances (housing, education, etc.) out on top of your monthly pay and only has medical and bonus on top of that. Anyone know what the rub is with this? Is it a new approach all units will start to take or is it simply a trial to see how successful it is (ie getting the people for less expense)? Finally, any point in putting my name in the ring given they specify 5 years minimum?

Have heaps more questions but they will depend on where possies would be available.

Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers!

Cool advice

I would go ahead and submit your CV. With these jobs the process takes a while and if your not chosen for one hiring season you tend to become up for grabs on the next. That will give you time to find the answers to all of your questions and not miss out on an opportunity....because you were pondering on what to do.....hope that makes sense..good luck
