Hi,

Congrats, How long were you waiting for after completing stage three, before you heard anything and by what method did you hear you had passed ?

Thanks

I received an email three days after. Although I know some people who took the full 15 days to find out if they were successful.

FEAST [Stage 2]

A couple of links worth a read for anyone with a Stage 2 appointment approaching.

Entry Point North - studentsite - Selection Phase 1 - FEAST Web Based Test

Entry Point North - studentsite - Selection Phase 2 - FEAST Strip Display Management Test (FEAST SDM)

Whereas with many EU Member States using FEAST, they tend to split the test into two parts, with NATS (I believe) it is a full day session with no split.

I'm due to re-apply in October after falling at S3 in Feb this year. Is anyone else re-applying this year after not getting through last time? How is everyone coping with the changes in the process?

Really worried I don't make it back through to S3...next time is my 3rd time...

Stage 3

To all those who have recently undertaken stage 3. How did it go? Tough? Successful? I have mine on the 22nd? Anyone else attending the same day?

Sat stage 3 last week, not as pressurised as stage 2, all in all fairly relaxed day. First thing you do is the group test, involves a scenario of bus routes, you are given an individual task to work out then you all put you plans together to come up with an answer. quite enjoyable really, i wouldnt worry about it though. Next you are taken off it two's to have your interview. We had 6 of us so you will be waiting around for most of the day. My post a couple of pages back has a link to the new NATS website where there is a list of the questions you are going to be asked about, so have a look and prepare some answers.

Good luck with it, im still waiting for THE result !!!!

I know it says the day lasts from 830-430, but do the people who are interviewed first then leave or does anything happen afterwards?

On my S3 we had a tour of the Ops rooms at Swanwick. I expect you could go if you wanted to though, but it wasn't actually suggested!

Ah that sounds alright then. Thanks for that. Good luck with the result, hate the wait. Keep us informed of how you do. I just want to get on with it now.

Hi I had my S3 on the 6th. The day was something like this:
We didn't really do anything until about 9:30 then we did the group exercise which took about an hour. There were 6 of us and they interviewed 2 at a time (different interviewers, different rooms!) So 4 people were interviewed before lunch (10:30-1pm) then lunch for an hour and the other 2 interviewed after lunch. The interviews were just over an hour and the day involved a lot of waiting around especially for me as I was one of the first 2 to be interviewed! Once we had all been interviewed we had a tour and left about 4:30. All in all a long day! Good luck! I am still waiting to here

I agreee with JonathanB, i guess you could ask to leave if you were first to be interviewed but i dont think it would be the "done" thing. There is a lot of waiting around, the first interviewees were done by 11am ish and then had to wait until 4pm for the "tour", worth it if you havent seen LTC or the ops room.

OK fair enough, I just wasn't sure if anything happened after the interview, if there's a tour or anything else happening then I'd definitely wait around. Wouldn't look too good running off early anyway would it!

Devil Stage 3

Hi everyone,

Shockingly I have been invited to stage 3 on 18th Aug 09! Is anybody else attending on that day? Also is anybody arranging a visit to a NATS unit?

Any hints/tips/advice or even an offer of helping to arrange a visit would be very much appreciated

Thanks

Congratulations on passing S2 !!!
Good luck with S3, i would visit a NATS facility if you can , as part of the interview in stage 3 they do ask about motivation so its a good talking point !!!!
I believe you can ask via the message centre about who to contact for a visit at Swanwick, they are usually very accomodating.

Swanwick Visit

Hi All,

I am attending a visit to the Swanwick control centre on the 25th July before my S3 in early August. If you email [email address] you should be able to find out if there are any spaces left. Apparently this is the last one at Swanwick until the end of August so you need to be quick!

Cheers
