ATC IssuesA place where pilots may enter the 'lions den' that is Air Traffic Control in complete safety and find out the answers to all those obscure topics which you always wanted to know the answer to but were afraid to ask.
Ah well done man!!! Really pleased that someone from our group made it - go knock em dead in Stage 2 n keep us posted! And yes, I'll be back next year definately!!!!
Can anyone help me
Ive taken my stage one test twice now and pased second time(thankfully)
But ive just realised i only left 10 months between both tests and they ask for a 12 month gap.
Nobody seems to have noticed yet but i will have to tell them.
Does anyone know if they will withdraw my application?
Thanks for any replies!
I think you'll be better off to get in there before they notice and tell them! Integrity is a good quality in potential new employees, sorry though can't be sure what they will do!
Yea i will call them tommorow, hopefully they turn a blind eye to it as i passed the test.I would be gutted if they withdraw my application tho i worked for ages to pass that test.
Thanks for your reply.
I think from previous discussions, the length of time is between application dates not test dates. So if you applied before july last year then you are ok, im sure they would have noticed but best to check anyway.
Good luck with it.
Just had stage 3 today, wasnt too bad but very unusure of how i did, not confident but not thinking i have failed dismally. Time will tell !!!!!
Thanks jimmy, i was trying to get hold of them today but not avaliable so il try tommorow.
Good luck with your results i hope you passed.
I cant imagine having to wait for the results of stage 3 tests, i bet they will be the longest 15 days of your life.
Good luck
During stage 3 interview yesterday we were talking to the HR reps and they said they had over 200 aplicants in a morning on the new website, just typed it into google and this is the new website for ATCOs Welcome to NATS - Jobs and careers at NATS
i tried to trace down but i couldn't manage. i'm looking for a small programme, somebody mentioned that here (or at least i think he did that here); it's a small programme like at the nats selection proccess. you know that, on the left side there are planes (dots) on the right side there is a square some basic math task inside and you have to "survive" for 5 minutes with the less collisions and best menthal math.
anybody could help me? thanks a lot.
Well, took the leap and applied last night. Long shot for me being a mum of 3 toddlers!!! But working as an ACPO at Prestwick just now so hope that works for me! Nervous has hell just to get a response back cos I want it on so many levels! Finger crossed for everyone who has applied.
JonathanB good choice, im sure you have made a the right one.
Those of you who have your stage 3 and you want to prepare some answers etc... NATS new careers site has a pdf of info on all stages. In stage 3 the sections listed are the sections they will ask various additional questions to, They want a situation for each one and will ask further in depth questions to clarify your scenario. The link is here http://atcocareers.co.uk/pdf/Hints-a...Three-Days.pdf
I was in the same predicament as you...didn't know whether to choose Area or Aerodrome when offered the choice. Went for Area and was all ready to start in August. Had a phonecall last week taking me off the Area course putting me onto Aerodrome...to start in 2 weeks. Eeeek!
I wondered for ages if I'd made the right choice and in the end it was made for me. My view is that either way you'll end up controlling air traffic...isn't that what we applied for?!!
Anyway, better get off the computer and go and revise...time is running out...!!
