Reapplying and feedback

Oh well, didn't make it this time.

Got my letter to say that I had been unsuccessful and that I could reapply in 12 months. Does anyone know if it's a strict 12 months starting from the day I got my letter or is there a bit of leeway? One person at NATS said it was from my test date, another said it was from my initial application. Any clarification would be most appreciated!

Also, I was informed at the interview that if I was unsuccessful I would be able to get feedback. However, when I contacted NATS and asked for some I was told this was not something they did.

Is anyone aware of any way I could some information out of them? I basically don't want to waste NATS' time reapplying if I haven't got a snowball in hell's chance of succeeding. Or should I take comfort from the fact that I made it through the selection tests?

Congrats to everyone who's made it so far and best of luck to y'all!

K

Hi,

I've applied twice for NATS (several years ago), I wasn't succesful and desperatly wanted feedback so I culd do better on my final attempt - I was also told by NATS that no feedback would be provided on the stage one selection event. I think that this is really poor - selection events should be a two way thing, whats the point in repplying if you don't know where to improve?

(I haven't reapplied for the third time - yet !)

Hooray my 100th post

I know.

I can appreciate that it would perhaps be too time-consuming to provide feedback to those who had not made it through the selection tests, as irritating as it may be for those in that position.

However, I got through the tests and did something wrong at the interview or computer tests. At the interview the ATC said that they had obviously identified something from my test results that indicated I could make it as a controller and the interview was the way to confirm that. If that is the case, then I desperately want to know where I went wrong.

Surely this is not too much to ask for, and would surely cut down on the amount of people they have reapplying?
