Anyone at SEN know when the expected departure of the a/c might be. I am interested as it might be one of the last 707 to depart from the UK.

I think it should have a little blue plaque to commemorate it's most recent cargo of £20 million of South American nose candy.

Is this the 707 parked to the right of the control tower? Was parked on the GA ramp in front of it last weekend and we commented on what a tight squeeze it would be getting it off the SEN runway. Presume it will be no payload and minimum fuel across to Manston, and lots of phone calls from the locals to the ops office afterwards. Glaziers vans standing by!

Doubt if it will be last Seven 0 departure from the England, whilst John Travolta's N707JT is allowed to fly and land in the the UK, last seen at Luton end of June 2003.

I fell asleep and missed it. Qantas livery! I am very annoyed!

Well the RAF has 7 707's (albeit with CFM engines) at Waddington and the USAF uses 707s/C-135's (Pratt or CFM engines) largely at Mildenhall so there'll be a few 707's in the UK for many years! The RAF ones are quite new, some of the last 707's off the line.

Not the same thing as Koda that has been sitting around SEN for over 2 years.

I went I saw but it is still stationary though I was told it has spent sometime on engine running. Anyone got the latest update.

Hi,

At the end of heavy maintenance work at Southend the Koda Air Cargo Boeing 707 has been painted in a new livery with delivery expected later this month. Take a look at this picture of 9L-LDU (http://www.skyliner-aviation.de/viewphoto.main?LC=nav2&picid=478).

BAe146-100; You are well up on what happens as I have seen facts from you before. Have you any idea what the 4 x 146-100 at SEN with Chinese reg are destined for. I visit the Aviators bar and have heard various rumours most of them contradictory.

Really looks good I hope to see it next week. I am told the registration may change again as its validity has run out. Do you know who owns it and why it has actually kept 'KODA'.Rgds
