Appreciate any information, LL nzer 27th Jul 2003, 08:50 Rarotonga, Noumea, Tonga, Apia, = anywhere in the (ICAO) world pretty much - although no doubt some rocket scientist will come up with an irelevant exception to the rule - RG airspace = NZ Rules = 250kts below 10,000ft - NO EXCEPTIONS - on arrival and departure. (Class D,E, G Airspace) LOKE 27th Jul 2003, 09:23 Thanks NZER. is the speed restriction also enforced beyond 12 NM from shore? Thanks for any information, LL fruitbatflyer 27th Jul 2003, 19:16 However, if they haven't got radar they have no way of catching you if you choose to go a bit faster. If you think that's a bit of a cowboy attitude I admit it could be, but only if you haven't listened to the incoming and outgoing traffic and worked out just how inconvenienced ATC would be if you got there a bit quicker. Of course your ETA should be within two minutes, as that's what they will work with in the absence of radar. Just don't do it on a check ride unless the checkie is in a hurry to a hot date..... |
