Flight Database

I am just wondering do any of you know if there is a flight database availible online. By this this I mean is there anywhere that you can enter a Flight number such as "EI556" and it will tell you the route,airline and aircraft?
I just thought there might be an easier way than having to go to the airlines website or looking up an airport schedule!
