Living up north, I never hear it, but have been told by different people I have asked that it is:

a) "Gibair"
b) "Gee bee"
c) "Gee Bee Airways"

so... which one is it?! Thrid one sounds a bit of a mouthful.

Thanks.

And sometimes over Spain and Portugal we are now-and-again called using the Speedbird callsign !! We are sooo honoured !!!
Wont be long till they get their grubby paws on us !

I thought GB was 49% owned by BA ?
Only way a British flag carrier is allowed to fly into Gibraltar ?

My info could well be very out of date but that was my understanding. The BA upholstery on the seats gives something away :p

Edited to add;
Must engage brain before mouth - I see from their website that they operate as a BA franchise !

Don't think that Uk airlines are restricted in flying to Gib, Monarch have been flying daily schedules for years! The only thing you can't do is divert to Spain and then go back to Gib. Quick landing in Tangier required first!
