Cyprus based airline, Helios Airways has announced it would begin a new weekly scheduled service between Birmingham and Paphos, Cyprus. From November 7th 2003, the service will fly each Friday, departing Birmingham at 12:30 and arriving in Paphos at 19:00 using a 189-seat Boeing 737 jet.
Andreas Christodoulides, Sales & Marketing Manager, Helios Airways said, “We are delighted on the expansion of Helios Airways into Birmingham which is due to the popularity of Cyprus as a holiday island as well as those visiting friends and relatives. This new service will also offer a great opportunity for Cypriots in Cyprus to visit the Heart of England”.
The airline offers a full in-flight service including a selection of hot meals and drinks plus amenities such as comfortable leather seats and the latest in-flight entertainment.
Peter Vella, Business Development Director, Birmingham International Airport, said, “We wish Helios every success with their new scheduled service to Paphos. This addition to our portfolio of scheduled flights will provide even greater choice for passengers and I am sure will prove to be very popular”.
