View Full Version : Who's bin killed in Harry Potter B222 21st Jun 2003, 07:47 Its 0032. in the last 30 mins, has anybody discovered who has being killed off ?????? NinjaBill 21st Jun 2003, 07:49 My copy hasnt been delivered yet, and theyve had 38 minutes bloody amazon Paterbrat 21st Jun 2003, 08:05 I don't believe it, the cow has gawn and killed bleedin Harry:sad: sprocket 21st Jun 2003, 08:09 No, no! Don't believe him. It was a runaway broomstick. Happened in one clean sweep, it did! saudipc-9 21st Jun 2003, 22:19 Don't worry all. I've heard that he wakes up while in the shower and it turns out to all have been a dream.:p timmcat 21st Jun 2003, 23:59 OK, you asked, its Sirius Black (Harry's Godfather) Hilico 22nd Jun 2003, 04:07 Yes, Ms Cat? Then why has your post been edited? Either it was you yourself, in which case your credibility is damaged (mind you...); or it was a moderator claiming to be you - and in either case, we cannot believe what's posted here, can we? phnuff 22nd Jun 2003, 05:37 phnuff's neice has just been on channel 4 reviewing the book. I spoke to her afterwards and asked her and . . . . she wouldn't tell me. Just wait until its her birthday timmcat 22nd Jun 2003, 06:15 Hilico, if you will read the other HP thread, you will see that Timmcat jnr started reading the book at 06:40 BST, and completed it at 17:10 BST. HONEST (he's a bit of a prodigy, unlike his father). The post regarding SB's demise is correct. Tim Hilico 22nd Jun 2003, 07:05 If so, then bizarrely what's been killed in Harry Potter is the joy of reading! I keep telling Mrs Co, ardent fan that she is, SLOW DOWN, read it a bit at a time and enjoy it. The pleasure will stop when you've finished (true of many activities) so it makes more sense to take as long as possible over it. John Farley writes the best aviation column currently available, in Flyer; that magazine drops through the door, I tear off the wrapping, read his first sentence and shut the mag. Have another mouthful of Shreddies. Open the mag again, read the next sentence. Shut. Chew. Consider. Read another little bit...ooh, I can't wait for the July issue, I really can't. So I do know what it feels like to be gagging for it. min 22nd Jun 2003, 09:36 I'm one of those odd people who likes to read a book in record time.....however, I THEN go back and re-read parts of the book...or re-read the whole book...keeps me entertained for yonks. Get good value out of my books, I do. Now...back to Harry Potter... M. Legalapproach 22nd Jun 2003, 18:36 The short lodgers had various friends (ages10/11) over for the release of the book (Camping in the garden, bar-b-q and all down to the bookshop at midnight to collect their copies) By 00:10 they had settled down to read. Very little sleep was had but at 8am the next morning when I asked who died not one child was able to tell me - explaining "I've only got as far as page....." Now, if you had a group of adults in the same position what proportion would have started at the back of the book to be the first to know?? By the way Harry's parents and Mrs Norris were killed but then you didn't specify which book.:p :p maninblack 23rd Jun 2003, 23:30 Actually it was Colonel Mustard, in the library with a lead pipe. M.Mouse 24th Jun 2003, 06:03 I don't suppose there is any chance it was Harry Potter himself is there? Please, please. The modern phenomenon of mass hysteria over the latest 'must have' whether it is an undoubtably well written book or the latest fad that grips the minds of otherwise intelligent people makes me despair at the society we seem to be becoming. Bah, humbug! solotk 24th Jun 2003, 08:20 What a lot of bollox "Oh how I cried when I killed the character off" Never mind JK, I'm sure the millions of squids will soon dry your eyes. That and the lawsuit you've launched in the US. Bring back Enid Blyton HeliTigg 24th Jun 2003, 08:23 Lawsuit? What she trying now, book sales not enought for her? 4fitter 24th Jun 2003, 15:17 I'm with you Solotk. Don't mind her being rich but what the hell, I've been looking forward to a visit to the proctologist more than the release of this book. That said, Mrs Fitter did make me pre-order with Mr Amazon and my copy hasn't arrived yet Kwasi_Mensa 24th Jun 2003, 20:42 Wish it was H.Potter himself so we could get rid of this terrible hype :yuk: :yuk: :yuk: |
