Probably a silly question but puzzling me. Recently for no apparant reason my font size in Yahoo mail and PPrune suddenly have gone to large. I have tried in preferences, small and also restoring factory settings. I have tried right clicking and properties but have failed to reduce the size to what it was before. When I first sign on to Yahoo it is normal size but then when I select mail it goes to large then. Pprune appears large and I cannot seem to reduce it.
Probably have missed something totaly obvious but have tried.

Try this.....
Start Explorer
click on view on toolbar > then click text size > then select what is best.
Hope this helps.

PB - please remember to tell us all which OS you have!!!
If Windows 98 or similar, look at Control Panel/Display/Settings/advanced and check font size there too.a

Got a wheel mouse? Press CTRL and rotate the wheel - text size changes. (you might well have inadvertently changed the size that way in the first place)

Sorry, OS is Windows XP. Have tried control panal and selected normal. Tried Explorer, tools, and font but it did not specify any size. I have selected small in AOL preferences, the mouse is actualy a small Toshiba button( clit) I believe they call it, scooze me.:O
It definitely was inadvertantly changed recently and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it was, or get out of it in these two situations. The one when I first get onto Yahoo main page in normal mode then as soon as I select mail it goes to geriatric mode, quite spooky.
PPrune has for about a week been large throughout. My eyesight is not the greatest but this is ridiculous and limiting as there is very little on the screen as it is so magnified. Thanks for the input and keep the suggestions coming so far it's still large.:ugh:

this happens sometimes on AOL. i think it is when you copy and paste text direct off a web page, aol piggybacks internet explorer, and i presume there is an internal flaw.
sign on aol, then open up internet explorer. at the top of the screen go to VIEW, then text size. it will probably be "large" choose medium. you might have to either refresh the page/exit and sign back on aol, or reboot. can't remember offhand.
i know this is what flyswift said, but i think you might need to be signed into aol first, before opening IE. also make sure under internet options/general/accessability that "ignore font sizes" isn't checked.
worse still, sometimes when you copy/paste web text, it can replace your "smalle" font with the offending copied font. good idea to back up the smalle font.
hope this is the cure. before I found this method worked for me, system restore to a point before the problem worked.

Sounded hopeful as I do seem to remember that I had been doing some cutting and pasting. Will try and report back. Many thanks
:D Gentlemen, my thanks, it was hit a palpable hit. I am still adjusting to seeing my Pprune reduced, It looks minute now but what a pleasure. That little oddity was very annoying so thank you very much for the kind assistance in correcting that.:ok:
