Hi,
I am currently doing module 1 distance learning with Bristol. Iam in the process of doing plotting in frame 8. it seems to me that some sort of plotter along the lines of the TRNP plotter would be of great use, also usefull when working with the Jepp en-route charts etc. Alex at Bristol has said if it helps use it.

What do you all think and what is the best sort?

Any comments greatly appreciated:)

The TRNP plotter is transair's version of those short plotters often touted as being usefull for radio navigation AFE do one called the AVP-1, all just a variation on a theme really.

I've always preferred a 360 deg square protractor + a ruler. If you want you can tie a loop of fine string through the centre of the protractor to help with quick bearing measurements.
