Anyone got any info on B Med, interviews, Sim ride ? T,s & C,s , rosters, days away/nite stops. which stops are the good ones and not so good ones ?

Are there direct entry SFO and/or Captains positions ?

I've got some info from their website and the Balpa website regards salaries etc. Thanks in advance. :ok:

So what's this then, the secret squirrel club?
2 weeks later, 386 views and not one of you from B.Med?

Or have you all been sworn to secrecy ??? :( :(

i was hoping someone was going to add something, as I'd like the same information! Perhaps everyone is too busy flying to post (or else the internet is down in Tashkent!)

Same here, but with only 5 airbus they can't have shedloads of pilots. Can you post what you have found or drop me a message. Much appreciated. Off topic, but BA have disbanded the 20 or so in their hold pool. I should know. Boo hoo.

im the same as monty and camerashy, ba in their wisdom have dropped us in the hold pool. they want to reinterview when recruitment starts again, which seems stupid as the same process again, even though money spent on us.

You've got to be ex'RAF Spec Ops to get a job with BMED - if they tell you anything about the company, they will have to kill you afterwards!:suspect:

Is Scope still an issue? I know that at the beginning of the year BA Pilots had their eyes on GB and BMed. Anyone from BMed CC like to comment?

Being good friends with a skipper there he seems to think that BMed is a reasonable outfit. The fact that you rarely hear bad things said on this site says a lot for the place.

Be warned though that there are lot's of nightstops. Every trip is between 1 night and 5 nights away with only 9 days off at home per month (currently) - could be a reason for the silence.

BALPA have recently been recognised there and the CC seem to be doing some fairly good things with the lifestyle and package agreements.

They do seem to employ a lot of ex-military. However, ex-mil guys are less likely to object to time away from home and generally have a greater level of experience operating to less salubrious destinations. That said there are also many good civvy pilots employed who are quite happy there and do not feel in any way prejudiced.

Business plan seems to be fairly sound. They are not making a fortune but enough to keep on expanding. Since 9/11 they, as most others, have indeed struggled yet seem to have been fairly secure throughout.

If anyone wants the real low down on the place why not contact BALPA and they might put you in touch with one of the CC for BMed.
