Hi guys, got another question for the Wise... :D

Why do the bigger airplanes have no turn coordinator? Or to put it in another way - where is it written, when it's not required? I've checked JAR-OPS, which state that a turn and slip indicator is nessecary, tha JAR-23 do not state anything...

Greetings

The rules give alternatives: A TC needed unless a certain number of independent AIs are fitted. Don't know where the JARs have put it though.

usally the bigger planes have two independent systems and if euq. with EFIS there is a extra standby artifitial horizon req.

Okay, I have finally found it in JAR-OPS1. it is stated that if the airplane is equipped with a standby attitude indicator, only the slip indicator is required.
