I heard a rumour today that Air Zim are out of cash and can not afford fuel. This has meant the grounding of all flights for 2 days?

Does anyone have anything further?

Wouldn't be surprised. But they can always ask Mugabe for a 'float' from his milk(ed) deposits. :suspect: ;)

the truth of the matter is that the fuel stocks in Hre are low hence they have to stop over in Lusaka to get some more fuel for the other ops at base. Sadly with anything Zimbabwean these days it's blown out of proportion. If Air Zim had no money don't you think they would have been grounded already and would the Zambians, South Africans let alone British be giving them fuel ?

Mcgreaser,
Don't know about supplies of aviation fuel, but South Africa has been supplying about $6 mio worth of electricity per month to the Zim grid, and hasn't been paid.

"Sadly with anything Zimbabwean these days it's blown out of proportion." What is there to blow out of proportion. The country has no fuel for the cars, taxis and now the aircraft. Hell man wake up. Mugabe really has got the country on it feet. You have to walk everywhere.
