Funny how some of these old Loganiar routes are poping up, I recall the Skyvan LC1001 GLA/STN mail cargo, seats back in STN then pax down STN/BEB/GLA.

Higland have now decided to give up the route and the a/c. Too expensive as not many pax travelling with them. No date yet as to when they return the a/c, but Consignia(post office) have put the mail route out to tender again. Loganair odds on fav. They still have a Shorts 360 sitting at GLA.

I would not be surprised if the ATR 42 ceases the operation this month.

Hi,

Is the ATR 42 of Highland Airways an ex Gill Airways aircraft?

Thanks :)

No - I believe it came from a US carrier.

The aircraft is to be re-based within the Atlantic Group of companies.

Its registered G-IONA and is construction number 017. Its an ex American Eagle aircraft , its previous identity was N971NA.

I hope this assists ?
