Hi.
Just about to send off for my Night Rating and have spent the last 20mins going throught the CAA site without success.
Anyone tell me what the rip - off (sorry) fee is for this?

Thanks in advance,
Bob Logan.

£67

BTW, it took 8 seconds to find this document:

http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/srg_fcl_Scharges_ppl_04.pdf

and 15 seconds to post this reply :)

The wonderful CAA website. Once you figure it out you can find these things in seconds; Safety -> Personel Licensing -> Flight Crew Licensing -> General Information. Where else. Until you do it might as well be in a locked filing cabinet in the basement, stored in a disused lavoratory marked beware of the leopard, or whatever the quote is. :)

Hmmm, or you could always try:

http://search.caa.co.uk :p

which also finds hundreds of pages of rubbish - the document he needs was hidden on page 3 when I just tried, and I knew what I was looking for. Unsurprisingly, I guess, 'fee' gets more hits than 'night' or 'rating'. :)

Good thing I got mine in January at the bargain £64 price - that's an extra 1 minute and 32 seconds-worth of aircraft rental I can afford now.

I might even be able to get to another airfield in that time since the aircraft I'm now renting is based at Denham and Northolt is only just up the road :)
