Hi,

Belgian Airline VLM are to acquire 3 Fokker 70's from Air Littoral to expand operations from London City Airport. A number of types have been discussed but VLM has said that the Fokker 70 would be its best growth option. The Airline currently operates a fleet of Fokker 50 turboprops.

How up to date is this ? It was rumoured some months ago but recent French sources suggest that the Air Littoral Fokker 70s will be taken over by Regional Airlines in October 2003. It was also rumoured that VLM might be interested in some MALEV examples instead although those are not equipped for LCY operations yet.
