I saw this, JAA TRI/TRE, in a post for a job in Spain. I am familiar with the JAA license but was unsure of what the the TRI/TRE stood for. Could someone please shed some light on this for me.

Thanks

TRI - type rated instructor
TRE - type rated examiner

Sorry to be pedantic, but it's;

TRI; Type Rating Instructor

TRE; Type Rating Examiner

ie; someone who is rated to either instruct or to examine for the issue of a type rating.

Thanks for the info.

Do you what it would take to convert a Canadian ATPL to a JAR ATPL? Do you have to do a flight test? How many writtens? And aproximately how much would it cost?

Also wondering if Spain has it's own license or do they only accept the JAR license. And if they do have their own license, what is the conversion process to it?

Thanks for everything,
