Airline Competition: Deregulation's Mixed Legacy by Dr George Williams

Certainly low cost airlines are a direct result of deregulation and consumers have benefitted from lower fares, but in other areas of Europe monopolies remain and fares remain comparatively high. The UK has possible seen the most impact of changes, it looks like Germany is now going through a low cost explosion, will France be next?

I think since the UK carriers have started these types of flights, a Lot more people have been flying, becuase its become more affordable.

Depends on the market, I personally wouldn't want to dipose any of these types of companys, as are industry needs as much encouragement as it is.
