Hey all,. .. .Whats the weather like towards the end of April going into mid-may? Thinking of doing 50 hours out there over four weeks so wondering if it'd be a struggle?. .. .Cheers . .BUDGIE

Should be oaky, weather gets crappy - in relative terms - late June-ish.. .. .No doubt you'll be reading this reply from Private Flying in a few minutes.... . . . [ 19 March 2002, 14:25: Message edited by: Gin Slinger ]

BUDGIE,. .. .Naples weather is a funny thing. Up to about 5 years ago, in the Summers there would be thunderstorms every afternoon at 4:30p.m. and last an hour. With all the contruction in our area, the weather pattern for the summer has changed. The afternoon thunderstorms that we used to set our watches by rarely make it to Naples anymore. They stop in the Everglades.. .. .In the winters on cool still nights we get an early morning patchy ground fog. But we are back to flying by 9:30a.m.. .. .If you are looking to build 50 hours, 4 weeks is more than enough time.. .. .Happy Flying,. .. .Capt. Richard J. Gentil, Pres.. .Naples Air Center, Inc.

Budgie,. .. .Flown on a couple of occasions in the Daytona area and the weather is beautiful at that time of year, or has been for me. I am mainly talking about the end of April, beginning of May.. .. .Might even see you there, as I am planning some flying at Naples somewhere around that time, anyone else going to be there to have a Bud with?. .. .Richard/Nikki, have you received my e-mails? . .. .Cheers. .. .PS Budgie, interesting occupation . . . . [ 19 March 2002, 21:13: Message edited by: CAT3C AUTOLAND ]

If your at Naples, think about doing your MEP as well. . .. .It makes a nice break from hour building and all goes towards your hours to build.. .. .MJ

If you are not supposed to advertise on these forums how come the guy from Naples seems to get away with it all the time or am i missing something?

Jocko: I don't think he's advertising, he's answering questions.. .. .As one who flew at his establishment last month, I'd gladly speak up for NAC! No connection except for a PPL/IR that I wouldn't have, were it not for the competence and professionalism of the instructors etc at NAC. . .. .Naples is an interesting place - sort of Costa Geriatrica, with an excellent little airport, liberally sprinkled with executive jets ("Kerosene Comets" the Tower Controller called them more than once). . .. .It's FLAT. In over two weeks, I don't think I saw anywhere lower than sea level or higher than about 25 feet AMSL (other than TV towers and the like). If you like the mountains of California, you'll be in for a shock.

What is the web address and the blurb about training future pilots since 75 at the end of any reply i have seen.Seems like advertising to me.

Give it a rest Joko, whether NAC is advertising or not isn't the point, he is answering the question in a helpful manner
