Requirements to use an ICAO licence in Spain

Hello, first time caller, long time lurker,

I am thinking of buying a holiday property in Spain and would like to do some flying when I am there. I currently hold a South African PPL.

I believe I need to contact the Spanish C.A.A. to obtain a clearance letter to hire an aircraft.

I have looked at their website but my Spanish is not that good.

Any help would be much appreciated.
