The exact locations either 6 fig grid ref's or long / lat would be exremely helpful. Alternately can anyone point me in the right direction to find this info.

Have a look at this link to multimap for Timperely, Cheshire

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=379000&Y=388000&width=500&height=300&client=europe&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&scale=25000&advanced=&multimap.x=191&multimap.y=86

Shaftesbury Ave is rumoured to have been used as an airstrip in the war with Cubs/Taylorcraft being parked in the carpark of the public house at the junction with Wood Lane.

Hope this helps

Martin

I cant help you with strip locations but you may be able to help me getting some history on an L4J #45-4466 (at some time converted back to L4H spec) that I bought into last year.

I can only go back as far as 1973 when it was transferred from the French to UK register and I would love to find out where it served DURING WW2
