self improve direction rumour

I heard over the weekend that you could no longer go from JAA PPl to JAA ATPL frozen by the self improver route. This seemed a bit of a strange rumour to me. . .. .Does anyone know any better? Are there actually any limitations imposed by going the self improver route.. .. .Please let me know as this is the direction Im intendng to go.. .. .cheers . .. .mint

Modular is the Self Improver!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" /> . .. .JAA changed a few things and so changed the name of it too.. .. .Im not too sure exactly what the changes were but ill ahve a go......Im sure somebody will correct me!. .. .1. They scrapped the BCPL (Basic Com Pilots License). .2. Coz they scrapped the BCPL...they decided to lower the hours to get a CPL....Was 700 now 200!. .. .3.The groundschool has got to go through an FTO ie..You cant just buy the books and sit the exams..You must register with an FTO..It doesnt matter if it is F/T or P/T!!
