View Full Version : So, where are you all from?

long final

I have noticed that many private ppruners seem to be of a southern persuasion, so thought I would start a poll to get an idea where we all come from. It seems that many Northern questions get very few replies in comparison to the central/southern ones.

The area breakdown is just based on the fact I can only have five, so it’s a little general, and I missed Scotland & Ireland out, sorry.

Regards,
LF

You've also missed out the USA and Oz. Understandably. :)
Midlander here.

God's own county - Cheshire. But I didn't vote 'cause I don't beleive it's in NW (that's Cumbria - Cumberland/Westmoreland as it should be- or maybe Lancashire). And everyone thinks the midlands is Brum.

"It's not at the bottom, and it's not at the top. But this is the county where I always stop".

I overheard once, a looooooong time ago, that, some people, when inebriated, might have mentionned the possible existence of inhabited territories, south of the English Channel.

Has anyone ever heard of such a foolish thing ? :D

Hi Long final
If the continent I live on isn't mentioned in this poll, do I exist?

:D :D :D

What about options for those from Europe and the Asian sub-continent. Last time I looked at an atlas the pink bits were reduced in number, not increased

Maybe you'd better add a line for the Kiwis too, especially since they claim that powered flight was invented in New Zild.

This is a hard one for me as I am not sure which area I come under. Some people put Southampton in the South East while others put it in the South West. Another further complication is that I could well be moving to Scotland in a few months.

Must confess to being a Yorkshire lad myself, East Yorkshire to be precise but as we're the little bit thats stuck on the other end of the M62 it's probably not worth adding it:D :D Definately not NE or SE though!

Yorkshire isnt Godscounty, God forsaken perhaps, but certainly not gods country, as large parts of it suffer from the M62 curse, whereby anywhere within about 10 miles of the m62 is a total $h1thole.

Starting from the East..

Hull - ****hole
Leeds - ****hole
Wakefield - ****hole
Bradford, Halifax, Manchester, Salford, Liverpool ... well you get the idea

From the beer Capital of Europe... Cardiff.

To qualify the above: Cardiff is officially the beer capital of the UK and as the UK is the beer country of Europe, its logical that Cardiff is the beer capital of Europe.

No wonder loads of people are applying to Cardiff University for their degree courses!
