Hi -

If a flight school in the US isn't VISA approved and assuming I already have an FAA PPL - does anyone know if this presents a problem getting through INS.

Assume also I've a perfectly clean history etc and never been turned down going to US.

Hi GoneWest,

I'm looking at adding an FAA IR to my current FAA PPL at IFRWest.

Cheers,

I don't think you can - but read the post from NAC at the head of this group.

Is your current FAA PL a "US Flight Test Passed" - or a "Issued on the basis of..."

If the latter, remember you are also bound by the "60 day verification" rule that suddenly appeared.

Legally, however, - no you cannot enter the USA to do any flight training that results in a licence or rating.

GoneWest,

I did a FAA flight test with a DE in the US this year.
