Fly an aircraft while changing ownership?

Just wondering if it is legal to fly an aircraft while
it is on the process of changing ownership.

I have a felling that I have read somewhere that
an aircraft cannot be used while it is changing
ownership.

Surely it's as much to do with insurance & common sense as legalities?

i.e. although it's not law to be insured, you wouldnt want to risk losing your money by flying uninsured.

When I bought my a/c, we (vendor and purchasor) purposely overlapped our insurance by a day or two to ensure we were insured (if that makes sense...)

There are no obstacles in the UK.

Usually the previous owner releases it as soon as the money has cleared. If you have sorted out your insurance, there is no need to wait for a certificate of registration unless you intend to fly abroad or it is otherwise required by schedule 11 of the ANO.

The aircraft has CofA, Insurance and Radio Station
Certificate but no C of Reg at the moment.
