I know this is off topic being a pilot's website but I was wondering if there's any Licenced Engineers kicking about.

I'm currently studying my European JAR66 Avionics Engineers Licence but am going to start my TC Licence next year too with the aim of moving to Toronto in about 4/5 years time.

Was just wondering if there's anyone out there who can give me info on the CatE licence exams and also what the conditions etc are like for Engineers out there.

Look forward to any info anyone may have.

You should try www.canadianaviation.com (http://www.canadianaviation.com). Ask in the forums there.

There is a far higher demand for maintenance people (of all types) than pilots right now. Hope this helps a little.

Here is the Transport Canada website with all or most of the gen.

As per the other comments, there is an increasing need for AMEs and, thus, opportunity.

Contact Air Canada at LHR, they are crying out for some cone heads, licenced or not, they will also help with your CAT38 or finishing off your B2, and all the type courses are in Canada, send me a PM if you want some more info.
