Just curious.. are you coming across more pressure to sell goods whilst in-flight?

I suppose this may apply more to those employed by low cost carriers, but does your success (or otherwise) in this side of the job have any bearing on your career development?

Without wanting to be too intrusive, is the commission paid to you a good incentive to try and sell more, and does it impair in anyway your performance in other aspects of the job?

I can't speak from the perspective of the cabin crew who do the job, but from someone who is trying to get into this kind of work, they don't seem to be very interested in your people skills or life-experiences, only in the sales background that you've had previously!

Little or no sales experience = rejected at interview, no matter how well you perform in the group assessments and maths tests.

Very off-putting and demoralising.
