I think this thread may be moved, but I can't see how it fits in elsewhere.... .. .Just wondering, those of you off to Uni this year...What courses and locations have you chosen. I just got back from Loughborough - which was nice and modern and impressive (for Aeronautical Engineering) and I'm also considering Bath Uni, and Imperial College.. .How about you?. .. .Regards,. .. .MS

Mike,. .. .Graduated from Loughborough (Aero Eng) last July - had a great time there. Its not the best town, but the uni life is fantastic - in many ways better than larger city universities. Having said that Imperial has a very good reputation for Aero Eng, as does Southampton and Bristol. Best of luck with your decision.

Have a look at Stathclyde.. .. .Used to be a research asst there, and last time i was back they where talking about getting and old fixed base sim in for the course. Flying up there is great, lots of good clubs about. And if you want to learn scuba diving you might very well end up with me teaching you on a weekend trip.. .. .MJ

I'm sure there is a further education bulletin board on which you can discuss choice of universities. Especially when your question was posed with absolutely no reference to flying whatsoever!
