I have 2 questions re: flight related software that I am hoping someone could help me with:

1. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002
Is there a "package" or "mod" out there anywhere that would turn the package into a UK one? The ATC is wrong, and the Pressure Setting in the Altimeter is in inches mercury - does anyone know how to make the ATC accurate to UK standards, and change the operating pressure in the Altimeter to millibars/hPa?

2. R/T VFR Trainer software
There's a package that Transair sell to train VFR R/T on the PC, does anyone have any experience of it before I risk the nigh on £70 to buy it?

Thanks in advance.

Try here...

http://ivao.org/hq/

You can do all that sort of thing with a couple of free add-ons, they'll tell you what you need and how to do it.
Beware they take it a bit seriously though!

Thanks for that link.

I've visited and you're right - they do take it damn seriously!

Either way, cannot find what I'm looking for so have emailed them and await their feedback.

You can change the altimeter to millibars somewhere. If I could find my brain I'd be able to say where this is..

I know it has options for metric, metric (altimeter in feet) and er.. something else...

Mutter, mutter, dribble...
