~I have always wanted to beocme a pilot. I went to Canada to obtain my PPL. Since 11/7, i read in PPRuNe that jobs with airlines are looking grim or non existant. I have chosen to take my Music study furtherfrom A' Level and get a degree at a Uni in Canada. Not chosen one yet, just planning. Should i go for the degree which i want to do and after the degree, apply to an airline? I know i must do what i want to do, however, i dont want to go on in life blind & thikning im right. Im only 17! Some insights would be very helpful indeed. . .. .And on a final note, should i just keep my PPL and hope for sponsorship after my degree course for four years, or dig out more money and pay for my uni course then get more money (how ill do that is beyond me) and pay for everything up to ATPL syllabus? This seems insane, but all input possible would be gratefully recieved.. .. .Thanks in advanced.... .. .Smooth skies. .. .Dan

There have been many threads on exactly these questions in the last few weeks. Please use Pprune's search facility (top right of the page) to find the information you need. Also check the Wannabes Archive via either Wannabes on the menu bar to the left of the page, or through the 'Hop to...' dialogue box at bottom right.

Lunar,. .. .If you have any pilot training question the best people to ask are the chaps at Oxford Aviation Training in the UK. Go to www.oxfordaviation.net for more info.
