We seem to get a fair bit of time off in the Aviation world (well at least I seem to), and quite a few pilots and crew I know have a little "sideline" going to suplement their income, i.e. importing cars, having a few properties that have been bought to let etc etc.

Just wondering what's your sideline..if any?

I don't even have a 'line'... let alone a side one :( ;)

Our hours in ATC including our rest hours are strictly regulated under SCRATCOH so having a sideline is extremely difficult.
Any additional employment has to be approved by our bosses ,so unfortunately I will never be rich, just well rested.

Does being sidelined count ?

Sidelines, Mmmmmmmmm, thinks.

1) Photography, I am just finishing a 500 shot shoot for a trade catalogue. Mainly I do bands at gigs.

2) Reserve forces, they pay, therfore I play.

I was into a lot of financialy-rewarding "stuff" on the side but recentley gave it up after I lost almost the lot (88%) by payin bribes to keep myself out of a commie slammer.

Bottom line: dont get involved in any sideline business that solely relys on other people to do the job!

Given your well-documented interest in certain artistic entertainments, did you never consider a sideline of that nature - a fully participating sideline, I mean.
