Anyone the wiser ? Now its on, now its off. It's like a roller coaster ride. One minute there is fusion, the next minute its all off. Radical things predicted for Link if the fusion does not come off !

Seems sad if a decision cannot be reached to form one strong Regional carrier. Instead there will be competing operators and a very small cake.

But I guess Sax would be the cheaper option - its already owned by Transnet so with a little patching up, it could work. Wonder what Link will do ?

LETS ALL WAIT & SEE !

The latest been that SAA has been given a mandate to sort out SA Express first and once SAX has been stabilised, then SAA may look at a possible fusion/merger/buy out of SA Airlink. This was announced this past week. This was not the response Airlink had wanted from SAA, given the rut Airlink happens to be in at the moment. What the exact future for Airlink holds at the moment is not clear, I certainly hope it is a bright one though, the airline cannot afford to retrench or furlough staff again. There are other plans in the pipeline and one certainly hopes that these proposed plans are put into action soon.
