Hi chaps

I'm popping down to Lanzarote for a week or so in the New Year. Just wondered if anybody knows of any flying clubs down there where I could hire a 172 or a Cherokee or something similar for an hour or two of aerial sight-seeing. Rough idea of costs would be appreciated as well. I've got a JAR ATPL which I assume they will accept.

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to all.

Vmike,

Sorry but you are out of luck, looked into it extensively this year as I had the chance of working out there. There are no clubs or schools on the island. Two aircraft are to be based there and both privately. There is a club on Gran Canaria in San Agustin. You can get an internal flight for about 40-50 quid but they do not seem interested in PPL hire, they are primarily into parachuting. Not my cup of tea

Have a good time its a nice island, sugest a night out in Charlies Bar in Puerto Del Carmen, Nice Girls, Good Beer and a great in house band.

Oh well, thanks anyway for the info. I guess I'll just have to spend the time drinking and eating instead. Never mind. I'll check out that bar though. Cheers for the tip. :)
