From 1/4/2002 CAA ground exam resits are increasing from £37 to £50. They must have bought a new photocopier....

All professional exams are this way, it is no different with IT. I've just paid £100 for my last MCSE exam!!! (one bit of A4 paper which says PASS on it) its nothing but institutionalised robbery

Yeah but after the MCSE exams in order to gain employment in the IT sector you are not required to spend another 30k. The CAA knows it can get away with it. What will it be next year £60, the year after £70 and so it goes.

Dont even get me started on CAA exam fees. There is no justification for the high costs they charge, but as I have said before, is anyone willing to rock the boat? Run the risk of having your card marked by the powers that be?

Even at 37quid per resit it is an expensive exam, but trainee pilots dont make up a large enough group for politicians to get worked up about, so I guess we will just have pull our trousers down, bend over and have it shoved up us again

I guess thats me due for a few more resits then

Can the CAA be had for wallet rape? :) . .I was told that they are putting it up to encourage us unmotivated mortals to pass first time! Ummm, thin ground I think. Waiting for my resits results to flood through the door. Next they'll be trying to get money off of us for every payed flying hour because we have there licence.. .But unless we all, at least complain, then all we can do is just bitch about it. Anyone care to organise a campaign. I would but I want to get my licence.
