Just announced that the Proposed 2002 - 2005 Certified Agreement has been rejected by the troops by 55% to 45%.

"We have been advised by the Australian Electoral Commission that the results of the ballot are 398 ”YES” votes and 496 ”NO” votes, a 55% overall “NO” vote. Of approximately 1200 ballots posted, 895 ballot papers were returned.

Given the “NO” outcome Airservices Australia will now consider what steps are appropriate to take in the circumstances and we will advise you of the results of our deliberation shortly. "

Bernie is definitely not his normal chatty self, and sounds most displeased.

I wonder whose performance bonus isn't looking too good now?

Bernie, you want a quick exit from this mess?

Give us at least CPI, backdated. Fix the special leave debacle, and the proposed Agreement will get a yes vote. It doesn't cost that much, especially in the current booming Australian aviation environment where the predominant airline is the most profitable in the world.

Kind regards,
