According to BASSA, BA have approximately 20 crew members sat at home because they cannot get new IDs until the end of August!
What a clever way to save money - have employees paid to sit at home in order to avoid the cost of replacing their ID cards!!!!
BETTER to stop the pay...problem solved.:D :D
Blame it on "outside forces".
They should feel lucky they have jobs, in todays' market:rolleyes:

411A - you've finally made me laugh! Perhaps you could get a job at BA - we could really do with managers of your calibre:eek:

They couldn't afford me, nor would they put up with my very sensible ideas. Nor could I stand the cooking, except Italian of course. Est Est Est is great! White ain't bad either. Make mine COLD please.

411A, is the airline that you are setting up in Asia a Low Cost Carrier?

411A - why did you edit your first post? Its just not so funny now - and you've proved yourself to be the sad old git that most PPruners think you are.
Hot Wings
Why did I edit you ask. Quite simple really, in todays very BAD environment, they should feel lucky. OTOH, if it is because of a f@@kup in management, then management should have the days off, with no pay. Feel better?

Yes.

411A: Will your pilots have to buy their type ratings? Will your F/A's work as check-in agents?
penguin
NO. All training provided on full pay and allowances.
Also, no F/A's, cargo only, although this is being looked at now for a change.

Amazing eh? A contrast to when I approached 900 hrs last year with the worlds favourite and was threatened with losing 4 grand in basic pay and allowances for working too hard....

I understand the problem may be with the ID centre (BAA) not BA.
