I have a non-UK register cell and I am visiting Farnborough next weekend.
I tried from overseas to access the number to buy the logo but the number is inaccessible from overseas. DOes anyone have the details on how to download the logo while I am visiting the UK I mean the number and if I have to buy a temp connection etc
Thanks:confused:

A few PPRuNers have the logo on their phones. Could always ask them to send it to you :)

I did hear that the PPRuNe logo is copyrighted by Danny.
In which case, maybe worth checking with him to see what the score is ?

If you wanted to keep things above board you could pop into a Virgin Record store and by a Virgin sim card. I think they are around £15-20 and you will get reasonable amount of air time with it which you can use in the UK.
There is a way to check if your phone is definately compatible and it used to be published on their web site but I can't find it at the moment. You could try searching on www.virgin.com/mobile (http://www.virgin.com/mobile)
The picture messages aren't kept on the sim card, I changed mine recently and still have all my picture messages.

Regarding the Virgin sim card how about if I connect on Virgin network using the roaming function of my sms. Second there was a number to call and download the logo. I am still looking for it.
And second and most important point how do I contact Dunny for the copyright issue. If this is not the case I am wondering if a fellow ppruner can send it to me. I have a Nokia 6210 if that matters.
Thanks for being patient with me.

Any chance of getting this logo in Australia?
Hi chaps. It was me who put the link up here to the number you ring to get the logo. I deleted it as the logo is copyrighted and Danny doesn't want a third party making money from it like this. We are ok to pass it among ourselves as some of us have already done so.
Getting the logo onto the phone was pretty easy. You download a bit of software, scan the logo in and it then gets converted. You then upload the logo to this web-site(the one you download the software from) and it gets a reference number. You then call a premium rate number and enter the reference number, your mobile number and then it gets sent to you. The web-site charge about £2/3 for this and PPRuNe doesn't see a penny of this. Thats why the link was removed.
