my Mrs is BA cabin Crew and has been for 26 yrs and on one of their forums at work someone posted the message below.....hoping someone in the Rotorheads might have some connections that might yield a result......many thanks if you could ask around🤓Axel

This is a very very very huge longshot, but maybe worth a try.
Hoping to make contact with someone and find my photos.
Perhaps there are some Shorthaul / Regional crew out there who just may know someone.
In June 1981 I was in Cranebank and was asked to go to Aberdeen to work with the Helicopter crews, it was in the height of the oil boom and they had decided to serve Tea and Coffee on the Chinook as it went out to the rigs with increasing loads of VIP’s.
On 10th June 1981 we flew to the Cormorant oil rig, one of the crew was a lady called Bonnie
The other guys were mostly ex air sea rescue winchmen.
It was an amazing and fun experience. I had lots of photos sent from Bonnie that were taken by her, the crew and the guys on the rig, however I sadly lost them when my handbag was stolen.
Massive massive outside chance that anyone might know of Bonnie.

Hi, Bonnie now lives down Farnborough way.
I well remember your visit Brigitte as I flew with Bonny and yourself out to the Cormorant oilfield that day. well remember the reception you got from all the guys on the platform as you were both wearing your BA summer short frocks !
if you message me then I will forward her email address. Saw Bonny just under 2 years ago when she came up to ABZ for a reunion.
Best regards

they had decided to serve Tea and Coffee on the Chinook

Apparently on the maiden offshore trip they opened the bin to find all the biscuits were a mass of writhing crumbs.

Gents,
Got a reply quicker than expected, ah the wonders of tech and IT never cease to amaze, yet the workings of the Wessex flow control unit still eludes me, so anyway I have tried to PM (to both of you) the address let me know if it works...
Cheers...
Axel.
