I am a retired military helicopter pilot from Russia.
1. Can I work for UAE government or they employ only the locals?
2. In general, what are the basic requirements to work as an helicopter pilot in UAE? Both military and civil.

What documents do I need to bring with me to apply for a job?
I am really a bit lost and any directions will be much appreciated !
Cheers!

I commend you on your English, considering you fly helos and do not get around the Western World much!

The Heli jobs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are rather limited (Oil Rigs) and the Middle East forum tends to be more fixed wing commercial oriented.

Rotor heads forum might be a better place to cut and paste your question. Good luck and buy plenty of sun cream!!

Jack Schidt : Sorry, you are wrong on three (civilian license : oils rigs limited : civilian fixed wing) - but no need to tell you why.

Are you one of those airlines civilian captains who, like doctors, think they are right on any subject, because they have performed 10 000 ILS Auto ?

Alfi, send me an email perso
