Hey folks, is there anyone here with solid factual answers to the below questions?

1. Can a Permanent Resident of Canada apply to join the Royal Canadian Air Force to train (and thereafter serve) as a pilot?

2. What is the maximum age limit for new pilot applicants for the Royal Canadian Air Force? I saw that this maximum limit is 39 years for new applicants to the US Air Force.

Thanks!

1. Back in the late 80's citizenship was a must for the application, I would think it is still the case.
2. I don't know.

I suggest you contact them directly.

Just a thought, are you permanently resident now or are you a US citizen planning to relocate and then apply? Length of residency may be a factor.

Clearly stated here in FAQ #1 - must be a Canadian citizen.

1. Yes you can, but you need to already be a trained military pilot (from another nation) and be deemed skilled enough to warrant bringing in.

2. So long as you can offer useful service, the Compulsory Retirement Age is 60, but you have to qualify as per 1.

Are you or have you ever been a qualified military pilot? If not then you have to be a Canadian Citizen.
