RNAV APP

I have a question about RNAV APP. A few weeks ago I went to Seoul ICN airport. when I do the RNAV app, ATC gave us RADAR VECTOR to FAF not IAF. Is that correct ATC procedure? As far as I know , they have to give us RADAR VECTOR to IAF or before IAF.

You can't go direct to the FAF but there's no problem with vectors inside the IAF providing you are established on the final approach track prior to the FAF
