Could anyone please enlighten me,
Was there a memo that I missed?
I just checked my payslip and noticed my medical insurance premium for the family had gone up by 35 dhms.
I checked with the wife, had no new addition to the family since last month so I can only deduce,
another brilliant move to shaft us further without any sort of notification.
Ofcourse it's probably in one of those HR emails that require us to have the time to dig through each link to try to figure out how else they have degraded our package.
It's not so much the 35 dits, but the constant shafting......
The latest flight international, has an EK advert... blah blah ...
come to dubai, education and medical is on us... we will take care of it....
Whatever....

Yep 35aed for me too. And I do check those HR update emails detailing how we're getting a little less - must have missed that one. Perhaps if fell into the same black hole void that my roster seems to have fallen into this month!

It did go up, effective 1st of October. What they give us on one side, they take it back on the other... very sneaky. No clear announcement was made.

Keep discovering! The "come to Dubai" we will take care of you is just blah blah, once you are here, it is more like "march or die". Total deceit!

Mate of mine just what's appd me apparently there was an email (I still can't find it) and also detailed in it was that the max the company will contribute to any pay and claim medical appointment is 500aed. So you go off referred by the clinic for 700aed worth of stuff and you'll only get 500 back. Glad the premiums went up then! Jeez.

wtf? Only pay 500 of a pay and claim? I need to look at the HR manuals- that is BS

I asked him where it was he said the Doc had told him at the clinic this afternoon while he was getting a referral. I've not yet bothered looking for the email.

EK Dependent Medical Insurance is a Rip off. Appointments never available at EK Clinic. Now max Doc consultation fee capped at AED 500. What a joke. Premium revised from 1/10/2016 where as salaries are still the same. Hiring new Pilots with higher salaries and ripping off our pockets....

Am I missing something here or is this a further degradation of the package! If one now gets sent to a specialist, is the consultation limited to a set amount?

Notice how it was just applied and then an explanation given afterwards!
