In relation to the thread that the Luftwaffe is having problems with their A400M fleet, they have ordered between 4 and 6 C-130J. They will be operated from 2021 and in conjucntion with their French colleagues

It might seem a little pessimistic to assume that the present problems with the A400M won't be sorted before 2021 when they get their Js?
Although it could be an admission that the A400M is less suitable for some of their SF tasking than the C130 which is the main reason they're procuring it I believe.

The Shaanxi Y-9 probably makes more sense, all things considered.
